Upon checking in at Acorn House, I was pleasantly surprised to find a breakfast menu in my room. Being a food enthusiast, I opted for the locally produced Cumberland sausage, bacon, egg, grilled tomatoes. It was a hearty treat that certainly set me up for a long day exploring the fells. The next morning, I made sure to request my breakfast choices by 7.00 pm the night before, following the instructions provided. I decided to indulge in slices of smoked salmon and lightly scrambled eggs served on an English muffin topped with a spoonful of creme fraiche and a wedge of lemon. the combination was divine and truly a culinary innovation. The ambiance of the dining area was lovely, with a cozy atmosphere adding to the overall dining experience. the attention to detail in both the presentation of the food and the service provided by the staff made for a delightful start to my day.
